Healthcare Assessments
It is important to know when you submit an application for life insurance, the insurer will usually request a medical exam to determine whether you have any disease, if you’re at risk for any diseases, and your smoking or drug use. The exam may involve a physical, blood test, urine test, and electrocardiogram (EKG), as well as questions about your medical history. This takes time, so it is best not to wait to start the process to apply for life insurance.
